We spent our Christmas break at a charming hotel in a lovely little town. the location was great - right in the center of town, making walks and sightseeing really easy. What we loved the most was the authenticity and rustic charm of the hotel. the staff was friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They even prepared a festive dinner on Christmas day with local wine included. And the breakfast each morning was delicious- with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Spent the New Year in this lovely hotel that has a real old-world charm. Loved the traditional dishes served at the New Year's Eve dinner, and the cozy fireplace in the lobby was a nice touch. The location near the town center made it easy to take a stroll around town and explore. The staff was super friendly and provided us with local recommendations for activities and restaurant options. The packed lunch for our day trip was a thoughtful gesture and very handy.

The shower took a little time to heat up, but once it did, the water pressure was good. The only other downside was that the restaurant was closed for dinner on some days but this was communicated in advance by the staff.

From using an iPad and Google translate to translate the menu, to hosting us for a local farmers' festivity dinner, they truly made us feel welcome. The 5-course meal and entertainment by a local brass band was a highlight. The personalized breakfast at 5.30am and packed lunch for our departure were thoughtful touches. The hotel's location in the peaceful town of Schwanberg was perfect for leisurely walks. We also appreciated the flexibility of the owners during our son's chess tournament, serving lunch at 3pm when games finished late. we highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional hospitality and unique experiences.
